Change the World with Us

Our Projects

WEE projects focus on opportunities that allow communities to utilize their agency for preserving, sharing, and evolving their culture through the integration of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM) with their traditions.

Your donations directly support projects presented to Whole Earth Engineering, Inc. by Indigenous community leaders. The projects are presented in order of priority. Whole Earth Engineering, Inc. works with collaborators and supporters to fund and manage the projects. Grounded in tradition, each project is directed, planned, and often built by the people of the community.

Program Areas

EDUCATION

Though Indigenous knowledge has been historically undermined as “myth,” it is being recognized as rich sources of timeless data. However, as quickly as its richness is being recognized, negative economic and environmental impacts are erasing traditional peoples. Via our partnership with Expressions for Humanity, educational stipends support school tuition for Q’ero youth.

ENVIRONMENT

Whole Earth Engineering, Inc. works directly with the Chua Chua annex of the Q’ero of Peru, the Last Living Descendants of the Inca. There are specific seasonal opportunities for visiting or volunteering with the community for potato harvesting, alpaca shearing and weaving, agricultural harvesting, and sustainable construction.

ECONOMY

Whole Earth Engineering, Inc. is mitigating the challenges of antiquated perceptions towards Earth’s resources and the loss of Indigenous wisdom by working directly with communities to cultivate substantive educational and economic resources that enable a community to remain intact in present and for future generations.

EXPERIENCE

Whole Earth Engineering, Inc. works with communities, businesses, and individuals who want to integrate holistic culturally appropriate approaches to their own work and/or areas of interest.
